Amanda is a performance designer and moving-image artist from London, UK of Mauritian heritage. Her personal practice examines themes around memory, migration and displacement, methods of archiving and healing practices.
She also works as a freelance buyer and set dresser for TV commercials, editorial and still-life (for more on this line of work please get in touch).
Recent credits as designer include Breathe With Me - Chats Palace, by their fruits - Theatre503 (2025 OFFIE winner - Design), Dismissed - Soho Theatre, My Brother’s Keeper - Theatre503. As Associate Designer Slave Play - Noel Coward Theatre (West End), The Seven Pomegranate Seeds - Rose Theatre, Mephisto: A Rhapsody - Gate Theatre (Assistant Designer).
As an artist Amanda has completed artist residencies in La Gomera, Mauritius and Toronto. She has created/exhibited work at LUX (London), Set Film Festival, Almanac (Italy), Barbican Centre, Art Night, Flat Time House, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Toronto Media Arts Centre.
