‘Roast Dinner’ explores ideas around identity & the role food plays in helping to understand ourselves and the journeys those before us have made. The act of cooking, the tastes & smells created, all collectively have the power to transport us back to a specific time & place without physically being present. Especially for migrant families, food becomes an important tool to feel connected to the surroundings left behind.
